比較級の基礎知識
比較級は、2つのものを比べる際に使います。
一般的な形は「[形容詞/adverb] + -er」
または
「more + [形容詞/adverb]」です。
形容詞の比較級
形容詞の場合、「-er」を付けることで比較級を作成します。
例えば、「taller（高い）」や「smarter（賢い）」などです。
Good（良い）
比較級: Better（より良い）
例）
This book is better than the last one.
（この本は前のよりも良いです。）
I think I’m getting better at playing the guitar.
（ギターが弾けるようになってきたと思います。）
Bad（悪い）
比較級: Worse（より悪い）
例）
Today’s weather is worse than yesterday’s.
（今日の天気は昨日よりも悪いです。）
I hope my cold doesn’t get worse.
（風邪が悪化しないことを願います。）
Important（重要な）
比較級: More important（より重要な）
例）
Studying is important, but spending time with family is even more important.
（勉強は重要ですが、家族との時間を過ごすことの方がもっと重要です。）
The most important thing is to be true to yourself.
（一番重要なことは、自分自身に正直であることです。）
その他の比較級
副詞の比較級
副詞も同様に比較級を持ちます。
例えば、「faster（速く）」や「more quickly（より速く）」です。
不規則な比較級
一部の形容詞や副詞は不規則に変化します。
例えば、「good（良い）」の比較級は「better（より良い）」です
比較級の使いどころ
比較級は、物事の性質や状態を比較する際に使います。
例）
This book is more interesting than the last one.（この本は前のよりも面白いです。）

シーン：会社の部の夕食会を企画しています。雑誌でレストランの批評を見つけました。

but I don't think so if there are no private rooms I think we can I still go if the place is nice and the food is good. （でも個室がないなら行けないと思う 場所が良くて料理が美味しければまだ行けると思う）

シーン：ファンクラブのコスプレパーティーのために完璧なレストランを探している
The Zenith is about six minutes away from Shibuya Station. It serves traditional food, but it looks more modern than other similar restaurants. The Zenith is on the eleventh floor. It also has a private rooftop area with an amazing view of the city. I recommend this restaurant for birthday parties and other casual celebrations.
Itadakimasu is farther from Shibuya Station than The Zenith. On foot it took almost fifteen minutes to get there. Itadakimasu has beautiful tatami floors and looks fancier than The Zenith. It’s also larger than The Zenith, but it doesn’t have a private room. The atmosphere is more formal than The Zenith’s atmosphere, so I recommend this restaurant for work parties.
要求事項は、コスプレをする映画の時代背景にあった伝統的レストランだった。
そこを見逃していました。
この二つの店をネット記事で見て、比較して、どちらの店でパーティするかを企画する内容だったのに、実際は、自分の好みで答えてしまった。
まとめ
要求事項を抑えながら、二つの店を比較して、相手に良いところを紹介する。
なぜ選択したかを論理立てて説明する。日本語でも難しいと思う。
端的に接続させる意味で、yesと使い分けて、Ok sure!をもっと多発しても
良いかもしれませんね。
要求事項を満たしながら、相手に良い点を伝えることは会話で最も重要です。
